Stating that the global population was heading towards 9 billion, Gates said, If we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services (abortion), we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 per cent. This is exactly what we are looking for. We’ve adopted once in a semi-open situation (bmom’s choice) but would love an open relationship with the birthparents. Why? Because we believe our child will never have to worry what does my bmom look like? what is my bfather like? and all those other questions. It’s also nice because of medical reasons but my number one reason is because this woman will have given me a gift that no amount of money couold ever buy. Why should she have to be completely locked out of her son’s or daughters life because she unselfishly wanted to give them a better life.
Please consider open, I think it’s healthier for all involved.
