2009 Christmas Rescue by Animal Advocates.us
By
This pitbull was rescued during Christmas season 2009 in South Los Angeles. He is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped pitbull terrier mix. He weighed 52 lbs when he was rescued. He weighs 65 lbs now and it’s only been 10 days. I will stop feeding him extra food. He will be available for adoption in a month or so. He needs to heal from his wounds and do more training first. He will pass his canine good citizenship training before adoption. He would probably do better in a home without cats and bunnies. I’m working on his prey drive. Maybe I can conquer it in a month. Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Jones of the Kenneth Jones Veterinary Hospital. www.kennethjonesdvm.com 1708 17th Street Santa Monica, CA 90404-4410 (310) 824-2588 Also thanks to Dog Man of youtube.com/PitForLife for his concern. If interested in adopting this lucky dog please visit www.AnimalAdvocates.us for contact information.

I love how he keeps looking up at you while eating the food, especially since he’s obviously extremely underweight and very hungry. What a wonderful, beautiful dog.

Mary, you are indeed a gift to the animals. I just found this by accident, started watching, and then realized this was you and this was Buddy! What a doll he is.

@Maxx102 I’m pretty sure I saw that too. Since Mary rescued Buddy I have seen so many dogs that look like him.

@Snicki1946 I found the video I referred to. It’s called “Just One Dog”.

@Maxx102 Mary found Buddy on the street in southside LA on Christmas day. Not the same dog, but hopefully the other dog is safe and happy like Buddy is.

Oh Wow Mary, Buddy was instantly in love with you! So amazingly adorable how he shows you such love by clinging to your leg with his head pressed against you! He knows you’re his Angel.

Hello,
Was this dog rescued from a high kill shelter on Christmas Eve 2009? I remember seeing a dog that looked like this one in another video.
The poor dog in the first video had a such a sad face. A easily treated skin infection, and a look as if he knew “his time” was coming to an end.
Then on Christmas Eve someone came and got him. He was loaded into the vehicle and there was a glimmer of hope in his eye – as shown by a brief tail wag.
Please say that this is the same dog.

I started doing this a year ago in Ohio and at first it something to make you feel good, then it turns into a lifestyle and you wonder why, why you did not do this sooner.
