What age did you stop carrying your baby in an infant carrier and just opted for in your arms?
By pregnantnewsI am more petite so the carrier is a little awkard for me to carry especially now that its getting heavier. Just curious what age did you feel comfie with just carrying the baby instead of lugging the infant carrier around

Around six months. I put up with the carrier until she was sitting up on her own.

I never would’ve felt comfortable carrying my baby around in a hard plastic casing. Looks ridiculous, is ridiculous. Just go with arms or a sling.

Since birth. I take my youngest out of his car seat and put him in a soft carrier and go about my things. Makes shopping 100times easier and leaves room in the cart.

i have a hotsling and already at 2 months old my baby seems awkward in it. like it is too small or something. i think that hotslings just arent the best…i think i might try a moby wrap or something and see if that works out a little better

If your baby still fits in the infant carrier you might want to try the Maclaren Easy Traveller. These things are awesome. The infant carrier attaches right to it and it is very compact and light. Being a petite woman myself it was hard to carry the carrier and diaper bag, purse ect. This has helped a lot.

I stopped carrying the car seat around when my daughter was awake more. When they are young and still sleeping the majority of the day, it’s not easy to carry around a sleeping baby and get them in and out of the carseat at every stop for errands you have to run. I think my daughter was about 4-5 months when I quit carrying mine around.

Shortly after 5 months I think. She was able to sit up on her own so I either carried her or I let her sit in the seat in the cart if we were in a store. She loves sitting in the cart lol

I never used a carrier, I used a sling and wrap (depending on what I was doing) since birth. Better for baby because of the contact. Also better for me because there is not frustration of lugging that awkward rig around. Rarely does she stay in it… only when she is asleep… which has happened twice.
