why is it bad to let baby sleep in infant car seat?

is it a higher SIDS risk? my baby always falls asleep in her infant car seat/carrier and when i get home im wondering can i leave her sleeping in it till seh wakes up? i heard its bad to let them sleep in it , but why?

lots of people let their babies sleep in their carseat. you just got to make sure the child isn’t too warm when their in the house.

The risk with letting babies sleep in car seats is that there heads can fall forward making it more difficult for them to breath. Letting her finish a nap in the car seat shouldn’t be a problem as long as you keep an eye on her and make sure her head hasn’t fallen forward and she is still able to breath properly, but it is not recommended to allow babies to sleep in a car seat for longer periods like overnight.
