Childbirth with Hypnosis
By
www.pregnancybirthandbabies.com I used hypnosis while having Bryson. He was my 3rd baby and 2nd VBAC. I wanted a natural childbirth, but was nervous about the pain. I used Hypnobabies www.hypnobabies.com and had a completely unmedicated AND comfortable birth. It was so empowering. Visit www.ican-online.org for more information on vbacs.

I am actually in the process of going through and editing together all of the pushing scenes which were not graphic, so people can see how I was!

Fab video! I used Natal Hypnotherapy to birth my daughter & it was great! The workshops were brilliant! You can do the Natural Pain Relief Workshop at any time in pregnancy & then do the Practical Birth Preparation workshop later. Also it’s cheaper than some other classes, which is great!

I am looking to take lessons and was wondering how would you compare Hypnobabies to Hypnobirthing? Not sure which to go with.

It is true, the ideal time to start is between 24-30 weeks, however many moms choose to start Hypnobabies earlier, which is fine. They focus on listening to Affirmations and 2 other tracks until about 24 weeks.

the method recommends that you don’t start until you’re about 20wks. Have a look on the Morgon method website.

It may sound paranoid. But can you start early with learning these methods? I’m planning on taking lessons as soon as I find out i’m pregnant!
I’d feel more secure about the method that way

It is pretty easy, you learn it in one hypnosis session, but practice it daily to get really good at it!

Hey. I start my hypnosis classes next week. I am extremely excited to learn how to “OFF” in one breath. How hard was it to learn how to do that? I use to meditate after Bikram Yoga before pregnancy. Is it like that but quicker? Please let me know. I would LOVE to hear from you. Your experience is so beautiful

We have just started our hypnobirthing lessons, the more you learn about it the more it makes complete sense. My sister just had a hypnobirthing baby, she said it was amazing.

I felt my contractions as intense pressure. You know when you get your blood pressure taken and your arm gets squeezed tightly. It isn’t painful, but it is pretty intense. That is a good way to describe how I felt my contractions.

This was such a great video! My husband and I are TTC our first.
I am interested in using hypnotherapy but I had a question for you. Did the hypnotherapy really make it pain-free? Or does it just calm you down during the pain?

You sound like you have been preparing!
Enjoy your birth!

that was very beautiful video, I was not able to attend hypno classes but I have been doing a lot of reading about it and trying to think positive and blocking any negative comments towards birth. I have had a great midwife who taught me the breathing techniques so I really hope i will have a birth as great as yours!!

I was in a hospital.

Where did you birth? is it a hospital or birth center?

The Hypnobabies Home Study is set up as a 5 week program. So some moms do start as late as 35 weeks! Most mom start between 24-34 weeks.

How far in advance did you start prepping? I’m at 35weeks with my first baby but have not attended any classes. Is this something that could be accomplished in such a short period of time?
