You’re not dialated. You’re dilated. No, it doesn’t make it easier.

effaced or engaged? engaged means how far into the pelvis the baby is and effaced means how much your cervix is thinning. im 60% effaced and 3 cm dialated with 3 days to go!

Well i was 3 cm. 70% effaced, and the babies head was engaged for over two weeks!!! it was miserable with her head being so low. its possible to go soon sure, but i can say its just as possible to not since my case.

I was 2 cm engaged, 2 cm dilated and 30% effaced with mine for 2 weeks and I was induced at 42 weeks. my motto was that any progress was good progress, but honestly, nothing makes labor any easier!

Who is “they”? Whoever they are, are wrong. Many women efface and engage before labor, it doesn’t make it any easier. You could also walk around for weeks where you are at before you go into labor.
