Is lamaze classes worth it for couples who’ve already had children?

By pregnantnews

I’m thinking about attending a birthing class this time around. This will be my fourth and fifth child (twins). Is it beneficial to couples like us that are experienced already? Was it a waste of your time if you went after you already gave birth?

I went threw it with my first child and well it didn’t really help me then. So I decided not to go threw it again even tho the father of my second child isn’t the same as my first and has never been threw it.

I just never felt it even gave me any help.

After a few kids I figure you have done it, do you really need someone else to tell you how to deal with it. you know what works for you.

I never took any classes. I was going to with my first but with my husband’s crazy schedule and the huge expense, we asked our doctor and she said it wasn’t necessary since I was well-read and that the hospital staff takes you through everything. I didn’t feel I needed any classes with my 2nd because I already knew what to expect.

I would say its a waste of time, its usually for people who have no idea what to expect and etc…but its totally up to you

Why not! We are never to old to learn and besides it is a bonding experience with your partner and the baby. And you might even learn a few things you didnt know that could make a difference for you.
