Lamaze at home? or any other birthing preperation technique guides?
ByI don’t have money for the 1 and only lamaze class that is out here or for any books of any type (i haven’t any money at all), but I really am adamant on lamaze because i’m scared of birth. Is there any online links that show you how to do the techniques for lamaze at home?
I have no mom and no women i can ask what to do,
and some type of practice or birthing techniques would be nice
because im scared of the pain
also someone put last time i posted this the hospitals have free birthing classes,
no they dont
the ONLY lamaze class out here within 50 miles (i have no car to begin with) is at the hospital
they have NO birthing classes but the lamaze
and the hospital charges $90.00 for the class

There will be pain but it serves a purpose and you will be less scared and handle it better if you understand it. I’m terrible when it comes to pain, but am pregnant for the second time now (by choice!) so it really is survivable.
Have a look at this website – I’ve given you the link to the page on pain relief. It has lots of different options that you might be able to consider (or it will at least help you cope with the pain if you understand it better). Lamaze is discussed in the bit about breathing techniques.

Of the other natural relief methods, acupuncture and hypnobirthing have some scientific validity.

I don’t know where you would find more information about them. I’m interested in trying hypnobirthing techniques myself this time around.
Good luck.
Edit: I’ll just add that that first website is written by midwives, and has been published as a book as well, is really good quality up-to-date info, and is all free! I have no connection to the site, I just like it.
