where do i find a lamaze class in my area?
ByI’ve tried the lamaze international web site and even called them up. there’s practically none around me. i’m starting to worry that i’ll never find one in time. I don’t even know how much it would cost (and if i afford) to take one.

I found a class provided through the hospital where i was going to give birth and it was about $130 for my husband and i to attend. You can also get with your doctor, they generally know where you can go.

Your hospital should have them. Call and ask them. That’s where I took mine.

have you tried asking your doctor or calling your hospital? i lived in a very small town when i had my first and even they had a class. it was offered through the hospital and held at a local church for like $50. i can’t imagine any hospital not offering something!
don’t panic though. we got snowed in while we were out of town and missed the class… then the baby came before the next class. i did fine, the nurses were great at helping me handle everything. if you are set on taking a class – make sure you do it earlier rather than later.

Ask your gynocologist, that’s how I found out about mine. Also, hospitals will usually have them every month or so. I went to lamaze class at the hospital where I had my daughter and it didn’t cost me anything
