Honey you dont need a book. It comes natural to mothers. I promise. I recently had my son all natural and he was 9 lbs 4 oz. You will do great! You can always go to the free classes at the hospital.

YES! Go get the book called “Hypnobirthing.” I was originally all for drugs but then heard about this and started learning and reading about it. It is absolutely amazing and I haven’t been able to find any negatives about it. I’m going to give it a try with my little one.

I went to the hospital and checked out some videos and books,
Yes it does come naturally, but if this is your first one, there are alot of questions you have, and probably forget half when your doc asks, “any questions?”
I used the videos and books to help answer not only my questions, but also let my hubby watch and read with me to answer any of his questions as well. He ended up helping deliver my second child!

your body will do what it CAN do, if you get to the point where your body can not take any more, and you need the epidural, it is not a failure, you still get a baby in the end.

Yes…and I think you doooo need a book. It does come naturally but thanks to movies and discovery channel labor and delivery shows women have been conditioned to think labor is scary and dangerous and excrutiating and unbearable without drugs. I have had 3 babies naturally(one was 9lbs 6oz) and though once I got into the rhythm of my birth I instinctively knew what to do and handle it…My fear leading up to that was grreatly reduced b/c I was educated about the safety and gentleness of birth. I would recommend looking for an ALACE birth instructor and as far as birth books. Active Birth-cant remember the author…Janet Bylasks I think! That is probably the best what to do during labor book. Spiritual Midwifery by Ina Mae Gaskin is awesome and has a lot of great birth stories…though it gets a little “far out mannnn” with the lingo. Gosh I know there are more that I can’t think of..But, if you want good books with REAL info (unlike what to expect when expecting) then go to a doula training website and look at their required reading list. Hope this helps!! And if you want any more of my free advice just email me any time!!!
