The hardest part for me was lying on my back, (pushing while on your back means you are pushing the baby uphill), being stitched up, (I tore a little bit) and the exhaustion of being in labor for 24 hrs. If you can get a doula, it would help you a lot. A doula is a knowledgeable, experienced companion – who stays with them through labor, birth and beyond. Birth doulas offer emotional support, encouragement and wisdom throughout labor and birth. Postpartum doulas support women and families through the transformation that a new baby brings to a family. A doula is well worth the money. Good luck.

I would assume a baby ripping through your vagina is a pretty painful process no matter how prepared you are.

I’m not one to cry. But the pain got so bad that tears just fell out of my eyes and I didn’t even know it. I really don’t recommend it. It’s not that I opt to try but my epidural didn’t work.

I had two natural births, both were different, my first didn’t hurt much, had a quick birth, second was a lot more painful. MY suggestion is not to lay down while in labor, walk, rock, the ball was really helpful. ask of the shot, help with the pain. Take very deep breaths, don’t hold in the pain let it out. Music, and lastly don’t call the person who annoys you until you have to. Bring everything you think of that will make you comfortable. Write down everything you want the nurses to do, once you go into labor you cant always make the right decisions. Lastly BREATH IN And out slowly.

I gave natural childbirth; it depends on how your contractions go. For me the contractions hurt worse than actually pushing the baby out. Make sure to do your breathing excersices and ALWAYS listen to the doctor.. If you push during your contraction like you are suppose to you wont feel the pain of pushing.. you will feel the contraction more! I was far more concerned with the welfare of my child.. (( and i only pushed for 8 mins. )) so that might of helped. HOWEVER, the contractions were UNBELIEVABLE.. but some people can go right into labor without feeling a single contraction.

u know that pressure feeling that u get when u have to move your bowels and u hold it in for really long time and its starts to hurt? well its that feeling x100… but the actual pushing doesn’t hurt its the contractions that does… try the one the one that makes u sleepy… i forget its name… but i heard that the epidural is marvelous… i wasnt that lucky to try it tho… either way, good luck!

Well, it is very a very painful process, but the idea of being 100% present for your child’s birth is a beautiful concept, so kudos. Don’t be afraid, as it will pass and you will have a gorgeous baby as a result, very much worth the trouble.

I recommend stool softener. It’s possible that the skin between your vagina and anus will tear, and you may need stitches to heal it. This is more likely to happen if you have a small frame. But stool softener is a must… my best friend wished she’d thought of it before giving birth.

A natural childbirth is one of the most natural experiences in life. It is something you never forget. The pain can be exhausting but once the baby is delivered, the pain goes immediately.
I recommend you do as your doctor tells you and go about doing what you normally do. Exercise is important, but not strenuous stuff.

I would say pretty badly. In my opinion natural child birth is the most rewarding way to have a child.
