I'm going to guess that he's probably a bit immature, but I really don't think there's any physical way you can get him to understand what childbirth is like.

That's the thing...men don't get to experience pregnancy and childbirth. That's what makes women special. Sure, men can create life, but they don't get the joy of carrying the child, feeling the kicks, and bringing the baby into the world. Since formula feeding is now readily available, men can feed babies, but they don't have the ability to use their body to feed a baby like a woman can.

All this is exclusive to women and men will never know what it's like. Maybe he's feeling a little jealous because he'll never experience the feeling so he downplays it to "a lot of shouting about nothing". But you wait, one day when he's about to be a father and he sees the woman carrying his child in pain, he'll be in pain too. It's never fun to see the one you love in agony.

He'll learn eventually, but for now, just smile, nod, and agree with him because there's really no purpose to fighting about it.

well I would take him and show him a video on childbirth so he actually knows how much a women goes through in during the last stage of labour as it really hurts us women so much but after a while we forget how much pain we go through when we deliver them and we do it all again .

About the only thing men go through that is close is kidney stones. If he hasn't had them, then you are SOL. If he has, then explain that they are close in pain level, according to several women I know who have had both. Unless you wanted to put his testicles in a vice grip for 20+ hours, it wouldn't be the same thing, but it sure might make you feel better!
Try calmly sitting down with him and explaining that your body is getting ready to squeeze a watermelon out a hole normally the size of a grape. A woman's skin is ten times thinner that a man's, so we feel things, pain, heat, whatever, ten times more than a man to get us ready for the experience of having babies. Hence why women are commonly believed to have a threshold of pain ten times higher than a man's. If he still thinks that labor and childbirth are painless even after you have a talk with him, then by all means, get the vice grips!

Take a bat...slam him in the kidneys with it...then take it and slam it in his belly...then try to shove it in his penis...he will probably try to resist, so i suggest you get your sister to help...when you are done, leave him because he's a looser

OUTCH! a guy will never understand what its like to bear a child, but squeezing his testicles would be very painful, and probaly cause him not to have any children of his own.

I have personally witnessed both of my daughters births! Wow! There was indeed a lot of screaming, moaning and even a few expletives tossed at me! So while it was very enlightening to see how painful it can be, I will never know for sure because I can never walk in those shoes....and nor do I want to!
I have heard it would be like a guy passing an egg...and that sounds miserable!
Sure you could stick a porcupine up his a**, while squeezing a vise grips on his nipples, but that would be about as close as you could get. :)

Are you also pregnant? If so make him be in the room with you and when you are in labor grab his balls and squeeze as hard as you can. When he screams tell him the pain he is feeling is NOTHING compared to what you are going through.

Some men are simply insensitive SOB's and aren't fit to be in the birthing room. These types of men should also consider going into an engineering field because they have NO sympathy or empathy for what women feel (physical OR emotional!).

There is NO way to bring across the type of pain that a woman goes through with labor. Luckily, there are a vast array of drugs and techniques today that can help to minimize labor pains.

If you absolutely MUST get across to him the gravity of labor pains, then offer to kick him in the nuts a few times over a 30-minute period, then while he's on the ground writhing in pain, you can also just drop your full weight onto his stomach. That would get the message across, but it would also almost entirely ensure a divorce decree. I would recommend that your partner go through some parenting or pre-parenting classes (so that he can learn the difference between fabrication of pain and the real thing).
Or you can demand that he not be present at the birth - whether or not you opt for pain-control options (hospitals & doctors are required by law to restrict whomever the mother wants in her birthing room).
