imagine pushing a watermelon out of your rear.. that is what it feels like for natural childbirth.

It painful for like minute then you get a break.. i am not lying it hurt but if you get an epidural the pain goes away. But my contractions were more painful since I was induced and my water broke on its own at 1 cm.

My mom said it was like a watermelon being pushed out of you. I am yet to go through that. Imagine that!!

I haven’t given birth yet, but i’m pretty sure it’s quite painful! But it’s definitely worth it in the end.

I had natural child birth (against my will may I add, epidural never worked), and just remember that its momentary pain. It was VERY painful during labor, but its only 1 day out of your entire life. I have had tons of friends who have natural childbirth and they all said its worth it.

Take a rubberband and stretch it around a bowling ball…

Of course it hurts!

there is pain involved in childbirth. but it is how you react to the pain that is important. you have to understand the purpose of the pain and that your body is doing an incredible amount of work to deliver your baby. the female body is built to do this and does it wonderfully.
fear, anxiety and feelings of powerlessness all serve to intensify pain so its important to be in comfortable surroundings and have people you know and trust around you to support you.A wonderful book to read is Childbirth wothout fear by grantly dick-read.
Im not for one minute saying that everyone should do it with no pain relief medications but just to be aware of all of the things you can try first. never underestimate the power of relaxation, ambience, control, water therapy, music, mood lighting, tens etc.

I have three children, the first two I did natural and the last i had the epi.
Natural hurts but you quickly forget about it. epi was great, no lie. I am terrified of needles and only got it because I had too, but I do not regret it. If I had known how well the epi worked, I would have used it with all three.

listen up. i wanted a ‘natural’ childbirth but let me tell you one thing it is very painfull just get an epidural and then it is heaven, and before you know it the birth is over and you have a beautifull little baby. btw even if you do have the natural birth and the pain, it is all worth it in the end. but trust me and get an epidural i thank god every day that i had it.

It hurts, but it’s bearable. Thankfully you have medication if you can’t do it without. But trust me, it’s not as awful as everyone makes it seem. It is intense and very painful but at least you know the pain will stop once you give birth, it’s not something you have to live with and you know that pain isn’t going to kill you, like losing a limb or being shot etc. So yes, it hurts. But as soon as your baby is there with you, you don’t remember the pain at all.

I had four natural births using the Bradley method. The Bradley method uses total relaxation to prevent uterine cramps. I had moderate pain with contractions. The crowning really hurts, but it only lasts for a couple of minutes.
