Possible to enjoy natural childbirth?

By pregnantnews

Besides the pain, is it possible to actually have an enjoyable experience, feeling your baby come out, etc.?
I know it may sound weird, but I heard that some woman actually enjoyed it and managed to overcome the pain, (or even didn’t find it that painful!).

I have heard that it is a pain like no other pain you will ever feel. It is a beautiful pain.

I don’t know anyone who has “enjoyed” the experience, but was relieved when it was over.

Ha, I will let you know in a few weeks. I am having a natural at home water birth.

I have given birth 3 time without epidural or pain meds. I wouldn’t say that at the time I “enjoyed” the pain, but I did enjoy the fact that I could feel myself pushing out my baby, I was in control of my body. It gave me a great feeling of accomplishment to do it on my own. The pain you feel is different. It does seem excrutiating at the time, but the second the baby is out, the pain is over and you forget about it. I mean you remember that you were in pain, but you think “Hey, I did it, and it wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be” If it were that horrible, women wouldn’t have had more than one baby before there were epidurals.

I had my birth plan to do it natural for my children which I did. It really is a wonderful experience. I was happy with my choice. Not to scare you but it seems with me that the pain gets so intense that you almost become immune to it. Here’s a little tip when it comes time to push to get the best out of it just try to move your bowels, two pushes should be all it takes. I know that really sounds gross but thats what works. Best of Luck.
