What were your experiences with birthing naturally?

By pregnantnews

I would to know more about different types of natural childbirth and how women did with it.
Like, lamaze, Bradley, hypnobirthing, homebirths etc…

I gave natural child birth to both of my children. Pain, no poop and just the normal amount of blood (not much at all). I did not take any classes, but I did learn how to breath through contractions…REAL quick and in a hurry. Congrats.

I am kinda “granola” as some people would call it. Originally I wanted an underwater birth. Then I got pregnant. Now, I am all for hospital births. Take the drugs or do it natural without any drugs (and hire a doula or midwife), but do it in a hospital. If something goes wrong at home, the baby could very very easily die before the paramedics got there. And really, its all about the baby, not about you.

I used the Bradley Method (even though I found out I didn’t quite apply all of the techniques the correct way).

I had 2 9 pound babies (3 years apart), no episiotomy, no tearing, no drugs, and no pain (gotcha on the “no pain”…it hurt, but *I* was in control the whole time – not some scissor happy doctor!).

Bradley Method is great – if you don’t have time for classes or your husband isn’t your coach, read “Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way”…it is a step by step guide and it covers almost *everything* you could ever imagine about labor/delivery in great detail.

Good luck!
