I had 2 9 pound babies (3 years apart), no episiotomy, no tearing, no drugs, and no pain (gotcha on the "no pain"...it hurt, but *I* was in control the whole time - not some scissor happy doctor!). Bradley Method is great - if you don't have time for classes or your husband isn't your coach, read "Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way"...it is a step by step guide and it covers almost *everything* you could ever imagine about labor/delivery in great detail. Originally I wanted an underwater birth. Then I got pregnant. Now, I am all for hospital births. Take the drugs or do it natural without any drugs (and hire a doula or midwife), but do it in a hospital. If something goes wrong at home, the baby could very very easily die before the paramedics got there. And really, its all about the baby, not about you. Pain, no poop and just the normal amount of blood (not much at all). I did not take any classes, but I did learn how to breath through contractions...REAL quick and in a hurry. Congrats.
