The contractions, definitely. Ya, the pushing hurts, but only when the baby is crowning, and that only lasts 30 seconds or so. The contractions never end! LOL
Contractions. When you are pushing, it is almost relieving. Because every bone and muscle in your body wants you to push. The only thing that is worst than the contractions, is the crowning. But it is usually over pretty fast. Depending on how hard you push.
But all in all, every second is worth it!
Wow, that’s a tough question. I would say that the contractions hurt worse than the pushing, but I only pushed for about 20 min and she was fully born. The contractions were much more intense than the pushing. After the head came out, I sort of went numb and didn’t feel the rest.
Both totally hurt more than any other pain you have ever experienced. But my personally opinion is the contractions. After some point, that’s all you feel.
To me the contractions were worse. It was such a relief to push, I didn’t feel like the pain was as much. But, both hurt and it’s totally worth it in the end. Good luck and congratulations!
definately the contractions!your in so much pain you dont feel pain from pushing unless its different with an epideral but i went natural and thats how it was
The contractions are definitely more painful. The pushing is a relief! It does hurt when the baby crowns, but the pain is very shortlived and is entirely overshadowed by the knowledge that you are DONE!!!

Well, the contractions are longer, but the pushing is the most painful.

Definitely the contractions. To me, pushing is the easy part. But hurting with those contractions is no joke.

I heard both. The contractions hurt but they hurt for a longer period of time. The pushing hurts but you don’t push for as long as your contracting.

The ring of fire.
Do not push with your lower body. Push using the muscles you would use blowing up balloons.
*I was told that by an 80 year old midwife who heard me crying while in labor. Made it go much easier!

Contractions. I found the pushing more relieving and satisfying than the contractions.

For me, the contractions were the worst part. The pushing burned like hell, but didn’t last nearly as long.
