Women who have had a natural child birth. Are you glad you did?
ByI have decided that I really want to have a completely natural childbirth. Can any women who have had one tell me about their experience. Would you recommend it? How bad did it hurt and which was the hardest part? What kind of things would you recomend to prepare for natural childbirth. And would you do a natural childbirth again? Thanks!! =)

I had unnatural childbirth, with pitocin and such. I had an induced and then “natural” process, and I had a completely natural childbirth. All were right for the circumstances. The natural childbirth had the most pain, quickest recovery, and was the best birth of the three. I feel like it is good to have natural as a goal with an openness to other options. What is important is the end result and once you hold your babe in your arms the process won’t matter as much as it seems to now.

Everyone is different… but for me I had a natural child birth with no pain killers at all or any other medication.
the whole thing is hard to explain… but from when i went into labor it felt like a small aching pain, then grew to the point where it did hurt a fair bit.
then when i had my daughter i didn’t push so that my body did it for me… it’s really hard to not push but if you try and push too early you become exhausted. and once she was born i was fine. almost no pain… i was walking straight away

I did completely natural with my second and only stadol with my first. I do not believe in the epidural. I would definitely recommend natural birth. I was able to control my pain by focusing on my breathing while doing cleansing breaths… breath in for 5 and then slowly out for 5. The hardest part was the actually pushing with my second. Focusing on your breathing prevents you from focusing all on the pain and it definitely hurts worse when you focus on the pain.
With my first I was induced that also made the contractions so much worse, so from now on I will do anything, I mean anything, to prevent having to be induced again.

I have three boys and am pregnant with my fourth baby.
My second one was a natural birth. We got to the hospital too late for an epidural. The nurses did give me some type of pain killer about an hour before I delivered, but nothing after. And the pain killer didn’t do much for the pain but it made me feel bubble-headed.
I have to admit natural birth is a feeling like no other. You learn to get through the pain of contractions through breathing (do take a lamaze classs and bring in something to focus your attention on while contracting – it is amazing how much it helps.)
Honestly, the only pain I had was the contractions. Once my baby was in the birth canal, I didn’t feel any pain – just a bit of stinging but no discomfort at all. And once the baby is out….what a euphoric feeling!!

I took the 12 week Bradley Method course. I had an 8 pound baby last week and I am petite. Contractions were the hardest part, but they teach ways to cope and to breathe through. I even had pitocin to strengthen contractions, and i still didn;t think about meds. We dimmed lights, had a birth plan, and our music. Pushing was the best part. No pain in pushing just lots of pressure, I even said I can;t push yet , i think I have to poop! 20 min later baby shot out with 2 minor tears one outer on inner. i called everyone immediately after, and used the restroom. I felt great and still do! i can;t wait to have another baby, you feel so strong and proud! They gave me a local anesthetic when they stitched me up!
