im going to do a natural labor but i want to get some insights from others.?

By pregnantnews

I am 19 weeks right now. i was induced and had my water broke with my first one. i also had the epideral. i wanted to do this one natural. obvisouly i didnt go into labor on my own with my first, so i know i shouldnt just jet off to the hospital when i feel the tinest tinge, i was just interested in how long you all waited. also with my first it took me ALL day to dialat to 5 but only 30 mins to get to 9 from there. so i know i dont need to wait too long. just wanted to listen and hear advise to help me out. i want to read up on the bradley method and do things more like that (the classes arent offered here and my books in the mail) anyway so just whatever advise you have would be great.

Well I am trying for an all natural labor with our first baby I just wanted to tell you to definitely take the prepared childbirth class.. we learned a ton of breathing exercises, massage, movements to get baby to drop, I mean just all kinds of great things for natural childbirth.

the epidural during pregnancy didnt work cuz they sicked it in the wrong place, so i felt the whole labor, and its the worst pain on earth. At the end they had to give me a c section because the baby was not comming out. I was in labor for 26hrs, pushed for 4hrs, and had the sergery in less then 15minutes. Its your choice

Natural labor will generally allow for a faster dilation phase so things might be a little quicker for you overall. I have often seen that women will generally follow a similar pattern to the labor before but slightly faster. Good luck on your delivery. The source book below has a bunch of delivery room myths and superstitions and an entire section on epidurals if you have time to read

I had my son natural with no painkillers or anything. It was the worst pain in the entire world, but I forgot all about it as soon as I saw him. I waited at home for while, but the hospital was only a few blocks away. Since each pregnancy is different, you may dilate quicker with this child. Talk to your doc about your plans for natural childbirth, so they are aware of your wishes during your labor.
