can someone tell me from experience please, what a water birth is like?
Byfor the first time there are birthing pools available in new maternity hospital in cork. i am due first baby in sept. thanks. Ann

never had one but my baby came out with his mouth wide open, he would have drowned if we would have been in water!!!!

baby cant drown underwater they still breathe with an umbelical cord…how the heck do they survive in the womb???/ right well i never had one but i wish i did

its great i had 2….its called natures epidural for a reason it takes the pain from a 10 to a 5 in seconds it really eases the hip bone pain during the contraction and it takes a great deal of weight off you and i was able to give birth squatting…… and the warm water helps prevent you from tearing….out of the 100s of births my midwife has done shes never had a tear requiring stitches from a water birth…………..go for it…if u don’t like it get out…..but i doubt u will XD
