@sheridenwoodward at the time I thought his shoulder was the issue. I realized much later that he was most likely posterior- I didn’t consider that possibility sooner because I didn’t have any back labor. If you compare this video to my other one you can see the difference in the babies positions.

@sheridenwoodward yes, it was the most painful of the 3 because of his position.

This is scary, beautiful, incredible, mesmerising, and just a miracle. Congratulations to you both. That is one strong person!

@literalnoise yes, it felt natural. I waited until the urge was undeniable and my body began to push without my consent, then worked with it. I’ve heard it described as “throwing down” (vs throwing up) and I think that’s a good description.

This is probably a stupid question, but does the pushing feel natural? Did anyone have to, like teach you how to push? I would assume it’s instinctive, but I have no idea.

@bubblesh Thanks. He’s wonderful. He’s 5 years old

@metallica1694 The lighting isn’t too good. I wish we’d got some photos of it, but it’s hard to pay the placenta any attention when the Baby is right there

@ching1616 Does grunting help tennis players win matches? Does vocalizing help make sex better? It just comes out naturally sometimes…

i know birth is ment to be a beautiful thing and i think it is but you really sounded like the girl from paranormal activity while you where screaming but good for you and hope the baby is doing well

@TaraLew11
actually the baby could choke and die!
i had to be c-section because the cord was wrapped around my neck and if my mom would have had me naturally i would have died.. i think thats the stupidest comment ive ever seen.. maybe you need to re read what you wrote or you just really dont have brains..

hahahahahahaha it looks like you shit that kid out …..go to a hospitle next time like a normal person
July 19th, 2010 at 4:51 am
That was just crazy. They are so lucky the baby was born okay. Then she says something about the shoulder. “Thanks mom for screwing up my shoulder”
July 19th, 2010 at 5:42 am
I know it hurts but screaming is not helping
July 19th, 2010 at 6:11 am
Your so strong!!
btw is the placenta thing that dark?!?!
and your baby is soo cute!!!!
July 19th, 2010 at 6:13 am
@liajoy83
the baby wont choke if the cord is around its neck, since the baby is not breathing through its nose or neck…

@tanzaniaisdead I agree that “brave” is not really an accurate description, but a common misconception. If you’re interested in contributing your birth story to the book I am writing, please contact me
July 19th, 2010 at 7:05 am
I wouldn’t call you brave, I’d call you educated and trusting of birth. I also had an unassisted birth with my daughter. The most amazing experience of my life.
