My son was 11 1/2 months old when my period returned. It’s normal, some women go even longer than a year before the return of their period. It’s healthier for you to not have your period since it reduces your risk of certain cancers.

If you are exclusively breastfeeding, it’s entirely possible that your period will not return until your baby is taking quite a bit or solids. I did not get my period until my daughter was 8 months old. Don’t worry.

If you’re still breastfeeding, that is completely normal. You may not get it back for several months after she weans. I got mine about 5 weeks PP despite full time nursing. Everyone’s body is different, there’s nothing strange about it.

a lot of people won’t get it back until they are completely done breastfeeding. I was hoping this would happen to me, but at about 6 months it returned. But like I said most of the people I know don’t get it back until they’re completely done.

Thats not strange. I know women who have not had theirs for a whole year!
Mine came 8 weeks PP, which is REALLY early when breastfeeding!

I never got mine till I was done breastfeeding and even then it took quite some time for it to start. Enjoy it while it lasts

Actually I got my period 2 months after having both of my daughters and I breastfeed them until they were 1.

That’s not strange at all. Mine came back right after my daughter turned a year.

After my first, I never got my period back because I got pregnant on my first ovulation when she was about 7 months old. Yes, you ovulate before you get your period.
After my second, I didn’t get it back until he was 9 months old. But I was definitely on BC then, lol!

Mine started 28 days after birth, and were 28 days like clock work while I breastfed all my kids (at least a year.)
Some women do not have periods. Count your lucky stars!!! Still be careful, you can get pregnant while nursing.

this is completely normal! Some women don’t get their period at all while breastfeeding.
It took 4months for my period to come back with my daughter
and 7months for it to come back with my son

After my first, it came back after about eight months. After the second, I got an IUD so I really haven’t had a “real” period in four years!!! But I would guess that it came back at about 9 months.
Breastfeeding is nature’s birth control. It is not 100% effective, but if you are nursing through the night and a lot during the day, it is likely that you won’t get it back for a few more months. Women are not meant to have babies so close together, so on demand nursing (like our ancestors did for thousands of years) tends to hold off fertility and thus your period to give your body a chance to rest between pregnancies.
Just enjoy this period-free time. You will miss it when your period does come back!!!

Mine returned when our baby was almost 11 months old- she nursed exclusively until she was 6.5 months old when we introduced veggies.
It’s not strange at all that you still do not have your period.
