When did you ovulate/get your period after you stopped breastfeeding?
ByI just stopped breastfeeding my 7 1/2 month old. I did not get any periods while breastfeeding. For the past week I’ve been breastfeeding only once a day. As of today I’m not breastfeeding at all anymore. About how long is normal until I ovulate again? When did it happen for any of you breastfeeding mommys?

I bf for 18 mos. At around 12 months i let my bugger stay w lil reluctantly and i started! Hmmm sound to me like when i got all that milk stashed up inside not coming out is when i started…

I had my first very light period after nine months of breastfeeding. (I’m still breastfeeding.)
From what I read you can expect your first period within the next three months. More likely sooner than later, now that baby is weaned.

I am exclusively breast feeding and got my period 3 months after my son was born.

Well I got my period when Jayden was 8 months old and I am STILL breastfeeding

WOW you are lucky! I am breastfeeding my 7 almost 8 week old and I got my period last week! Im only breastfeeding him and the dr said I wouldnt get my period for a few months…..so consider yourself lucky!

I got my period acouple weeks after I stoped breastfeeding…I don’t know when I ovulated…I slowly weened him off
