How do you find your biological parents through closed adoption?
Posted by: | Commentsmy older brother is adopted,he has been since before he was born or whatever. Anyway, he is 17 and it turns out he’s bipolar. When my parents adopted him, it was kind of a closed adoption, they weren’t allowed to know my brothers parents’ last names and stuff. now, since being bipolar is often inherited, is there any way to find your parents through closed adoption without any fees or anything?
What is the best type of adoption for me? Domestic, international, foster care, other?
Posted by: | CommentsHere is our criteria – we want to adopt an infant boy (preferably white – we are not racist, but we want the child to match our family to avoid tension and confusion for the child)
We want to have a closed or semi-open adoption (with very little to no contact with the birth mother)
And we don’t want to get scammed by a birthparent who “changes her mind” at the last minute.
What do you think we should do?

Custody vs. Adoption if you are given custody can you put child up for adoption?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a friend that her nephew has been placed in foster care. They are going to give her custody of the child. The biological mother’s rights are going to be terminated. Does this mean if she has custody the child can go through an private adoption with me being the adoptee or does this mean that the state has to put the child up for adoption and I apply for adoption through them?
