Tell me about your experiece w/ childbirth in water?
Posted by: | CommentsWhen I get pregnant (!) I want to have a natural childbirth in water. Pros/Cons/Liked/Disliked, etc?? Is that something all bigger hopitals offer, or would I need to go somewhere special? Is it covered by insurance like a regular birth?
Natural Vaginal Childbirth, what do you think makes the difference?
Posted by: | CommentsFor those of you who have had 100% “Natural” childbirth (Meaning no interventions or any drugs what so ever, with the exception of hebal remedies) what do you think improved your chances of sucess???
I had a c/s with my first (supposed CPD) but really it was due to a failed induction. I had a Natural Homebirth After Cesarean HBAC, with my second…
For me I think it was a combo of mind-set, knowledge and being at home.
I am trying to compile info for my sister-in-law who would like a natural birth with her first.
Thanks.
For moms who had epidural AND natural childbirth…?
Posted by: | CommentsWhat was better? How were they different? Most moms tell me the natural birth was better, as they felt so good afterwards! I had natural birth the first time, but am scared of the pain this time around, so I want to know what you think was different about the two ways to go!?!!?
I’m only 12 weeks pregnant, so I have a little while to wait until I have to choose which birthing option to go for, but I cannot find ANYTHING on the reasons people choose to go through it naturally when there is medication that will ease pain. I was leaning more toward epidural, but there must be something wrong with doing that because if that’s available to people, why is it that they choose natural childbirth over epidural or some other kind of medicated childbirth?
If you were offered classes on natural childbirth and had a birth assistant with you every step of the way, Would you consider it?
For me, I believe birth is a natural process and medication is not needed. I gave birth to my son naturally but before he was born I got terrible negitive feedback from woman that had already given birth (My son is my first born). I was told by many co workers that I wouldn’t be able to do it that there was no way. And the vast majority of woman thought this way.
So I’m curious what your thoughts on it are. Maybe woman now a days aren’t as educated on natural childbirth as we used to be.
Alright Mommies childbirth: natural or not ??
Posted by: | CommentsI am about 98% sure that I would like to have a natural childbirth with no medication at all. The problem is EVERYONE including my husband says I am an idiot for not taking the drugs when they are available. I just want to be able to feel everything whether it be good or bad. (plus everyone I know who had an epidural, they all had bad experiences with it)
So what do you guys think am I an idiot for not wanting to be drugged up during the birth of my child?
I am 24 and this is my first baby.
Don’t worry I am not completely against medication I would just prefer not to hence the “98%” sure
. My periods were so bad they made me immobile I would just sit in my bath tub and throw up over and over (sorry if TMI). I just figured if I can handle that I can handle this without medication.
Natural childbirth….would you do it again??
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve had 3 natural childbirths. If I had another, I’d do it again. What’s your story?
When is natural childbirth not an option?

C-section or Natural Childbirth?
Posted by: | CommentsOk i am 16 years old. I am 12 weeks and 4 days longs. So i have a little longer until i have the baby. Do you think that i would have a c-section because, maybe im not big enough to have the baby the natural way, or do you think they will have me give natural childbirth anyways?
Natural childbirth vs. Epidurals or C-sections?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve seen questions on this website where several people have said that it’s best to go through natural childbirth (though they never specify why they feel this way), rather than get an epidural or c-section. Why do people feel this way? (I am in no way trying to imply that they are wrong for feeling this way, just for the record)
Wow… after reading some of the answers I realize that C-sections are much more of a serious operation than I thought they were!
