Question by P.C.: What kind of nose surgery would I have to go through to fix this?
When I was 10 and in a kind of “daycare” during summer, I got in a fight with a 14 year old and he kicked me in the face and gave me a really bad nosebleed, and over the years I’ve noticed that one of my nostrils is bigger than the other..the one on the side I was kicked. Also, if I look up my left nostril I can see the bone and the skin that should lay up against the bone that seperates the notrils is flaring outwards. I’d like to know what kind of surgery I would need to fix this? I’m 17 and am still covered by empire blue cross child program, would my insurance cover corrective surgery like this? I can breath fine for the most part, when I get sick my left nostril becomes congested a lot easier and it’s harder/sometimes impossible to release mucus through blowing my nose.

Answer by Tony
Call your Health Insurance Co. and ask! Also, see a Nose Doc to see if surgery will be required. It appears that your nasal septum (wall) was broken. Big nose is OK as the AIR is FREE!

Question by Defiantly not jack… im bob: About to start full time employment and need ideas of what to do with with my dog?
I got my GSD around 5 months ago, he is now just over 7 month.
So when i leave college he will be about 1, i don’t think it is fair to leave any dog home alone for that amount of time never mind an energetic puppy like him.
I’ve found several websites about places that you take your dog to and they play and exercise with other people and dogs, and the one i like is a easy 20 min walk and is in my expected price range and the business looks good, but are “doggy daycare” places where you can leave them 5 days a week or not.

any other ideas of what i can do are greatly appreciated because if i can’t think i might have to get rid of my dog and i really DONT want to do it.
dorothy s- i was planning on going to university, but want some time out of full time educuation due to the fact that i have been there since 4. And yes i am because i have family who are paying for his food and vet bills etc but i would be paying for him to be looked after. And he loves other dogs and people so please dont make stereotypical blanket comments like that, life changes and brings unexpected things up all the time, this is one of them and i am trying to think of an appropriate way to get around not be ridiculed by some random women on the internet.

Question by KaitlynKupcake: Vans Warped Tour 2011 questions.?
I have a few questions about Warped Tour, obviously, and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I’ll probably have more later on as I talk to my parents and such, but for now these are what I have. (:

1. Is it safe to bring a 12 year old? Would they need constant supervision?
2. How much extra spending money should I bring.
3. What exactly is “reverse daycare”. I know it’s a place where parents can hang out, but what happens? haha.
4. What time should I get in line?
5. Do they allow you to bring your own sharpie’s, water bottles, and food (small things like granola bars) in?
6. What time is closing?

Best answer:

Answer by Naomi K
1. if he’s not going to the mosh pit it’s fine
2. at least 0 – shirts are around , drinks can be up to , and food is a lot too. but it really depends on how long your going to be there and how much merch you want to buy
3. In the reverse daycare, it’s only adults allowed in and they provide you with air conditioning and movies to watch. Also, free water.
4. get there 2 hours before gates open, if you have presale you’re in a different line but it depends where the warped tour is, if its a big city you should earlier
5. you’re only allowed 1 sealed bottle of water, if you have more they take it away, you can take in small snacks
6. times vary like if theirs going to be a thunderstorm they close a lot earlier but if everything goes good they start to warp up at around 9 or 10.

hope i helped and have fun (:

Question by **ME**: In regards to babysitting, I would like mothers’ opinions.?
I am considering babysitting, out of my apartment, as a supplemental income. I would be interested in babysitting a single child between the ages of 1-3 years old.

I have no children of my own, but much experience w my niece and nephews. Although, I can honestly say that I’ve never babysat in my own home-only at the home of others.

With that being said, I currently have nothing in my home catered to the needs of a child. I.e. toys/playroom etc.

I would like you gals’ opinions and experience on some of the things that I would need to provide in my home in order to just to babysit(other than TLC!).

If you were to bring your 1-3 yr old to my home, what are some of the things that you would like to see? Also, how much do you/have you/would you pay for this service?

I ask this because I want to know the necessities, BUT the minimum. I just plan to babysit for like 4 hrs a day and I don’t want a full blown “daycare” theme with animals on the wall or a dedicated play room etc.

Thanks ladies.

Best answer:

Answer by The Eichstaedts
I would have to say some pretty simple toys. One’s bought from Walmart or a Dollar Store. Also childrens books. You can pick those up for cheap also. Some soft pillows/blankets and stuffed animals.

Most of the time for 4 hours a Mother will leave you with the necessities needed to care for their child. All of these things found in a diaper bag. Wouldn’t hurt for you to get a couple of DVDs of preschool type shows. Or even DVR a few of the shows. I would be willing to pay about – a day for a 4hour time period to watch a 1 – 3 year old.

Daycare Centers Loans – From Leasing to Owning

The majority of daycare center owners, lease their facilities rather than own the underlying commercial real estate.  Why?  And, what are some ways that existing daycare centers can buy their existing building and enjoy the time tested benefits of owning?  That’s what we discuss in this brief article.

First of all, many aspiring daycare center owners start off with the plan/desire to own their building.  But often come to the conclusion that owning is just out of their reach financially, unfortunately.  For example, say the daycare owner wanted to build a 8,000 square foot facility.  And say the total project cost including land, construction, franchise fees, equipment and working capital totaled ,500,000.  If the daycare owner decided to own, they would be expected to shell out between 10% – 20% cash (depending on many factors such as if the daycare was a start up, risk tolerance of the bank, etc).  At 15% the borrower would need to put 5,000 into the project.

If the daycare owner decide to lease the facility, on the same 8,000 square foot example above, they typically would only need to come out of pocket 10% -20% of the equipment, franchise costs, working capital and tenant improvement costs (space build out costs).  These costs would normally be less than half the total project cost, or for this example approximately 0,000.  The daycare owner would only need to come out of pocket ,000 at 15% rather than 5,000 if they owned.

However, one of the easiest deals to get done, even in this credit crisis, is to buy the facility you are currently renting.  Obviously you will need to come to an agreement with your landlord, but you might be surprised on how eager they are about talking to you about selling.  Keep in mind, most landlords are constantly looking at new deals that requirement cash.  So they may be very open minded to ripping up your lease and selling you the property.

As far as the down stroke on the purchase there is a little known guideline which can help reduce your out of pocket down payment to 5% or sometime less – It’s a form of rent concession.  And NO you don’t already need it in place.  From a conceptual standpoint it can be thought of as a lease to own type structure, where a portion of the monthly payment goes against the purchase price.

One of the keys here is that the value on the appraisal has to come in higher than the purchase price.  For example, say you negotiate a ,000,000 purchase price with the current owner.  You have occupied the property for 2 years and paid ,500 per month in rent or ,000 per year.  You could potentially attribute the ,000 of this rent to go against the purchase price to cover your down payment.  If the property appraised for ,100,000 you could attribute the ,000 of the rent you already paid.  Your down stroke would be 15% of the ,100,000 = 5,000 less the ,000 of rent concession or total out of pocket of only ,000. Versus a straight 15% of the ,000,000 purchase price or 0,000 out of pocket.

If you lease your daycare center give this some serious consideration as the benefits of owning are substantial.  Building long term wealth via depreciation, property appreciation and of course the chipping away of the mortgage with every payment you make, to name a few.

Question by Blehh: Necessities for Vans Warped Tour?
Okay, so, I’m planning to go to Vans Warped Tour this year in Scranton, PA. But here’s the problem: It’s my first time going. Ever.
So I’d really appreciate it if you’d answer some questions about it for me.

1. About what time does it usually start and end? How early should me and my friends get there?
2. Should I pack a bag? If so, what should be in it?
3. I hate scene kids. Are there going to be alot of them there?
4. Is there drug and alcohol going around? Is it easy to get around them & does it interact with your enjoyment of the tour?
5. Where can I find the schedule for the times that the bands are playing?
6. Where can I find the schedule for the times that the bands are signing stuff?
7. What kind of free merchandise are the tents handing out?
8. What’s usual age of the people there?
9. I’m 14. Will people make fun of my age there?
10. I’ve been to concerts with a few mosh pits in them, but I’ve NEVER joined one. Are there going to be alot of them? It doesn’t bother me. Who knows, I might even join one(:
11. Are there like, muggers or rapists going around? Lol, I’m serious though.
12. Is it fun and worth going to?
13. Should I wear makeup to it?
14. How many people should I go with to Warped Tour?
15. What is the “Reverse Daycare”? Just curious.
16. Exactly how much money should I bring, and where should I store it?

Thanks! Sorry there’s so much questions..
I can’t wait for Warped Tour, hope to see you there! :D

Its my first time going this year too, so i don’t think i’ll be much help, but I know if you check out the official website they have lists of things to bring and more information.

From friends of mine that have gone, i’ve heard that it was definitely worth it if you genuinely like the bands and music. people shouldn’t make fun of your age, I’m sure there will be more 14 year olds there. You should at least bring a friend or two, but if you go in a huge group it might be a pain, agreeing on bands and stuff. And don’t bring your whiney friend who only likes a few of the bands anyway. I know the schedule will be posted in a big prominent tent, so don’t worry about that. Oh and there will be a lot of cranky scene kids, it’t just something we all have to deal with.

Question by Chad L: What is your favorite game to play with your dog?
I have two Alaskan Malamutes, that obviously just love to be rambunctious and fun. I take them to do the dog park as often as possible, we’re the only ones there as of late thanks to the temperature but it’s still a blast for them! I don’t have a yard, and live in an apartment. I take them both on daily walks, off leash, and they are the love of my life. I’m only 21 though, and money is tight as far as taking them to more areas or having them in a “daycare” type while I’m at work during the day. They’re perfectly trained, and they just wander the apartment while I’m gone. When I get home though, they obviously want to play, and so do I.

I’m looking for some ideas then, maybe on new games to play or interesting toys that I haven’t heard of. If you’ve got a secret, let’s hear it.

Best answer to the most creative. I’ll add details as needed.
Unicandy is in the lead, as I’ll be trying that when I get home this evening. That sounds like it could be a blast.

Sadly, they’ll double team the effort and the game will end very quickly.
Bonnie-

It’s only a problem if you’re lazy. They don’t mind the apartment at all. It’s not a studio apartment, has 3 BR’s. Just no yard. They have plenty of room.

Question by Mrs. Amy Lopez: Can you help me with some ideas for this?
My son is in kindergarten and has half days, 5 days a week. The problem is, is that my husband picks him up and drops him off at the bus stop, but he is getting the day shift at work (mandatory shift change) and can’t pick him up anymore. I work 40 minutes away (one-way) and cannot pick him up either.

I called the school to see if they could drop him off at the sitter’s address, but because she is out of school boundaries, they cannot. Our friends have day jobs as well as our family members that are close to us.

What other options do I have? I asked that question to the bus routing manager and they said “Change schools to your daycare’s district or change your daycare.” I was kind of offended the way that he said it, like those were easy solutions. Sigh, anything?
Awesome idea to check out … I’m on it :)
