My son is in kindergarten and has half days, 5 days a week. The problem is, is that my husband picks him up and drops him off at the bus stop, but he is getting the day shift at work (mandatory shift change) and can’t pick him up anymore. I work 40 minutes away (one-way) and cannot pick him up either.

I called the school to see if they could drop him off at the sitter’s address, but because she is out of school boundaries, they cannot. Our friends have day jobs as well as our family members that are close to us.

What other options do I have? I asked that question to the bus routing manager and they said “Change schools to your daycare’s district or change your daycare.” I was kind of offended the way that he said it, like those were easy solutions. Sigh, anything?
