What kind of nose surgery would I have to go through to fix this?

Question by P.C.: What kind of nose surgery would I have to go through to fix this?
When I was 10 and in a kind of “daycare” during summer, I got in a fight with a 14 year old and he kicked me in the face and gave me a really bad nosebleed, and over the years I’ve noticed that one of my nostrils is bigger than the other..the one on the side I was kicked. Also, if I look up my left nostril I can see the bone and the skin that should lay up against the bone that seperates the notrils is flaring outwards. I’d like to know what kind of surgery I would need to fix this? I’m 17 and am still covered by empire blue cross child program, would my insurance cover corrective surgery like this? I can breath fine for the most part, when I get sick my left nostril becomes congested a lot easier and it’s harder/sometimes impossible to release mucus through blowing my nose.

Call your Health Insurance Co. and ask! Also, see a Nose Doc to see if surgery will be required. It appears that your nasal septum (wall) was broken. Big nose is OK as the AIR is FREE!
