ByMy baby is 7 m, she used to sleep from 9 to 6, and then 3 more hours (i miss that). Now she is waking up at 1 or 2 and she doesn’t fall asleep right away, she coos and smiles! Last night I tried to let her cry, but after 1 h of crying, she was more angry and awake, and then she didn’t go back to sleep 2 more hours. I need sleep! Please help!

My daughter is just getting over that. She is 8 months old and still waking up for a feed, even though she doesn’t really need it, it was habit for her to wake up. What I did to gradually cut her feed out was she normally took 9ounces in the night so the first night I only gave her 6 ounces (she had no reaction, she took it and went back to bed), the second night I only gave her 4 ounces (she was mad, but easily went back to sleep), the third night I only gave her 3 ounces of water (she was MAD, but again, easily went back to sleep). Then last night she woke up once, she didn’t seem too distressed and so i rolled over and went back to sleep and she did too until 0715. Its habit for them to wake up, so by gradually cutting the amount of formula you give and then switching to water, it might take time but eventually they will catch on its not worth it to wake up for a bottle.
