Has anyone noticed that maternity pants are always too short?
ByHello ladies, well im 37 weeks and cant wait to wear my old jeans. Im 5′7 and all of my maternity jeans are high watered on me! Its so irritating! Just wanted to know if im crazy or if this has bothered anyone else? Thanks!

See I have the opposite problem..I’m 5′3 and all the maternity jeans are way too long on me. I end up having to cut them shorter just to make them fit. So yes, my problem is driving me crazy!

ive always found them too long , but then again i am only 5 ft , lol
by 35 weeks i had to wear all my pants really really low , my belly had dropped and i couldnt even pull them up to where they were supposed to sit ,
uve only got 5 weeks MAX left , just sit on the couch for the rest of the time and you wont have to worry about ya pants being to long and tripping over them

yes! even for average sized people, the pants always look like highwaters (lol). i thought it was because my thighs are huge and the pants didn’t account for that. but i do know old navy and sometimes motherhood has pants with different lengths. old navy does actual inseam, and motherhood has petite, reg & tall. happy shopping!

It bothers me to death. I was just bitching about that this morning while I put my pants on and you could see my ankles! So annoying. I will say that my jeans for Motherhood Maternity haven’t started getting short on me just yet, but I am only 22 wks, so I am sure towards the end they will start creeping up.

OMG! Yes!! That’s one of my pet peeves is my pants being high water, I hate it. It sucks so much lol. So no your sooo not the only one! Erks my nerves too.

i’m not even in maternity pants yet (only 14 w 5 d) and i already think they’re too short. i’ve already started stocking up on the maternity wear, and noticed that a lot of these pants are short on me. and i’m only 5′6!
just silly, really. how am i supposed to wear them? do i pull them down to my knees, or do i just wear really long socks? they are just not practical or realistic in any way.

yes!!! I am 5′ 8″ and they don’t seem to make longs without making them large too! lol The best ones I’ve found are the Liz Lang Maternity by Target. They have been the longest skinny-girl pregnancy jeans I have found. Unfortunately, they are also about $35 – a lot to spend to wear them for only a few months!
I’m there with ya, I’m also 37 weeks and could go any day now!
After you have your baby, you probably won’t fit back in them right away, but at least you could find some of your fave jeans on sale in a larger size till you get back to normal! that’s what I’m planning on doing!

LUCKY YOU (kind of lol)!! I’m only 5′1 and they looked like clown pants on me, so i couldn’t even wear them when i was=( hmmm, well, if your in a cold atmosphere you could wear some flat stylish boots to cover it!?

yes i have noticed that too, but i do think the more pregnant you get the more they are pulled up over your bump.
I cnt wait to wear my old things and go shopping for new clothes too!!

Im 5′10 barefoot. Almost all pants are too short. lol but I do find that as my tummy expands they tend to creep up even higher

i agree, i have some and it looks silly how they are too short. i cant wait to be in regular jeans either! aghhhhhhh, lol!

I’m 5′3 and I bought a pair of maternity jeans they were way too long! so I just bought regular jeans one size up, or wore my jeans unbuttoned with a long shirt! ( I didn’t gain any extra weight on my waist or body only my stomach and my boobs got bigger!)

yes!!!! im 5′7″ as well and i would only wear those pants once or twice max cause then theyd be so uncomfortable since i looked weird!! lol
i only used 1 pair of slacks (found at motherhood) to work mon-thur! i would wash them and air dry them instead of using dryer…i was too scared to shrink them. they are in such great shape and im soooo keeping them for next time around!!!! capris were my best friend during my pregnancy.

Lucky you! Try being a quarter inch shy of 6 feet! It has been really hard to find pants long enough. I have let the bottom hem out of a couple pairs and that has worked well. And then I bought a couple pairs of super expensive ones from Japanese Weekend, just because it was the only brand I could find in tall sizes! With some of the ones that are wayyy too short though, if I havent had a chance to let the hem out, I just cuff up a couple times and wear them as capri pants. But hey, you are almost there! Shouldn’t be too long and you’ll be able to wear normal clothes again!
