How do i avoid paying maternity leave benefits to a pregnant employee?
By pregnantnewsA woman i employ is pregnant. She is about to go on maternity leave on my dime. How do i get out of this unfair deal?
If i could get my way i wouldn’t even keep her under my employ. Can i just fire her without giving any reason?

Well firstly…your question is flawed, as all maternity benefit is claimable from the government that you pay, so YOU wouldn’t be out of pocket.
Get off the computer, gain and education so you may actually turn into a productive member of society, don’t worry, we won’t hold our breath though!

I don’t believe you are actually the employer of anyone, as you would know that it is unfair dismissal to sack a woman for being pregnant and you would also know that the government pays for SMP, not the employer!
