How long did you wear your maternity clothes after baby?
ByMy son is 7 weeks old and I still have to wear my maternity jeans…. well and alot of my shirts too cuz i still look like i am 4 months preggo… i tried buyin regular jeans the other day but nothing fits right because the size that fits around my hips/waist is big everywhere else… it sucks!

Start going for long walks with baby in the carriage. You’ll see that very shortly you won’t need your preggo clothes anymore.

I actually splurged on REALLY cute maternity clothes. I occasionally wear some of the stretchy shirts as layering pieces. No worries, you basically just had a baby…you will get back into regular jeans soon!

I’m back into my pre pregnancy clothes
I had my baby a week ago
I still like wearing the shirts though they are still comfy and their the only ones that fit around my chest
Wow I get thumbs down for not wearing sweats anymore?

Sorry, I was back wearing my normal clothes before I left the hospital!
But I have heard of this happening, you just have to give yourself time, but remember, you may never get back to the size you were before pregnancy.
*Wow. All these thumbs down. I put on close to 30 kgs during my pregnancy, but luckily it wasn’t fat, it was water weight. And it was gone pretty much the day after my girl was born. I’m so, so sorry that this upsets you all so much, it’s not my fault.

By my 6 week appointment, I could squeeze into my regular jeans, but it was tight. By 10 weeks I could fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes and by 16 weeks I had lost all the weight. It takes many people a full year to get back into their pre-pregnancy clothes, so 7 weeks is nothing.

Don’t go shopping that’s all i have to say! after i had my son i thought i would go back to normal right away yeah not so much i went shopping a couple times and left crying. I gained a lot of weight while pregnant uhmm 50lbs! he is almost 4 months and i still have 20lbs to lose. agree it does suck but i have come to realize i need to stop reading magazines because i am neither tori spelling or angelina!

I had my son almost 9 weeks ago. I’m not wearing my maternity clothes anymore. I did go to the store and by pants that were 2 sizes bigger before I was pregnant. I was a 3/4 and I got some 8/9. But they are falling off me of and they don’t really fit anymore. I have already lost 37 pounds. I have 29 more to go. I gained 71 pounds with my son lol. Just keep walking and working out. I walked a lot when I first had my son. I have been being kinda lazy and tired lately.I gotta get back on my diet and working out! lol you will be fine! I was wearing them at first too. When I get down to a 5/6 I will be perfectly happy. I was too skinny before!

when my son was around 2 months old I decided to put away my maternity clothes. that got my butt in gear to start losing some weight. it took me another month to actually be able to fit into my pre-baby clothes (I was wearing a lot of stretchy skirts). and sadly, your body may never be the same again… your hips may stay wider… your ribs might be wider… my feet definitely grew a whole size! but I look at it as an excuse to go shopping!!

I didn’t gain much weight at all during pregnancy and was down to pre-preg weight in no time but i still feel like i will always be a size or 2 bigger. The skin doesn’t go back to normal. My doc just says that you lose a little bit of that pre-preg body with every baby- You just have to deal with it.
