Question by : What does it mean when someone tells you you’re “all baby?
I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and I have at multiple women (mostly older staff) at my university tell me “you’re all baby!” I am never quite sure how to respond and if it is a compliment. I am usually a very slim person so my baby bump is quite obvious, is this what they are referring to?

that the weight your gaining is all from the baby and in the stomach area
not your hips butt thighs face arms ect.

Its a good thing !

I guess they mean you haven’t gained weight, it is all in your tummy :)

It usually means that the weight you are carrying looks like it is all down to the baby and that your bump is the only area that you can see a difference with.

i would assume that she means that the only weight you have gained is in the belly area. it would be a good thing.

however, i don’t think commenting on a persons weight is very nice. i would just reply “well, i am having a baby”

It simply means that the only weight gain you have is in your stomach! Yes, it is definitely a compliment as MANY women gain weight all over!

I am 31 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and I get this alot too. Basically it means that you are showing just “baby”. LOL..I have been told that nothing has changed on me except the fact that I look like I swallowed a basketball. Consider yourself lucky……I gained a ton of weight with my 1st, but my 2nd and 3rd have been basically “all baby”. Good Luck, sweetie.
