BPA in the Dr Brown plastic bottle?

By pregnantnews

Guys, does BPA only release when you heat the bottle? what if you don’t heat it, does bpa still release? I have 10 plastic dr browns bottles. Can I still get bpa if I use heat glass bottle and transfer to dr browns? or bpa will release no matter what when the bottle warm/hot. Please help me. Share with me what do you do to prevent bpa in dr browns bottle.

Another thing, does bpa happens to be in pacifier too?

BPA only releases when a bottle is put in the microwave, boiling water, or is exposed to boiling liquid, if you put warm formula into a room temp bottle there is no risk of releasing BPA into the fluid

BPA can leach out when a bottle is cracked as well. I wouldn’t take any chances even if you don’t heat them or there is no cracks. Your child’s health is worth it to switch to safer ones.

if the bottle is damaged in any ways or is heated some bpa will be released and leak out. Which of course is considered to be very damaging to young children 0-6 months having the highest exposure ratings though the scientific community doesn’t exactly agree with the effects. You might be ok heating it in a glass bottle and transferring like said before as long as the dr brown doesnt have cuts or bad damage to it bpa wont release. Or you might want to try and find one without bpa in it. Hope this helps

The above entry says it the best. I use Dr. Brown’s bottles and my son won’t take anything else and he has been fine. However, I don’t believe all the controversy over the BPA. I boil a kettle of water the night before and I make each bottle as I need them throughout the day.

here is the site that gives you a list of which ones are good and which ones are bad, and in between. you can click on each brand to find out what items made by that company contain BPA and which items do not contain BPA.

the first night i heard about this, i went out to babies r us and got my son BORN FREE BOTTLES, they are BPA free.

Just go to your local Babies r us and get the new BPA free Dr. Brown plastic bottles. I picked up 6 yesterday for $4.99 a piece. They just came out this weekend.
