It'll probably be okay. Leeching only occurs with high temperatures. If warm milk is poured into it, the leeching won't occur because the milk won't be hot enough. Leeching can occur during washing because temps are hotter.

When in doubt, play it safe. If you are concerned, then get new bottles. There is nothing wrong with that.

I would get new ones. There is some cause for concern regarding BPA. The bottles probably have little scratches from the year of use, and then they sat around for almost 4 years. Even if you were to use the bottles, you would need all new nipples as they deteriorate after time.

I used bottles my mom used with my brother 8 years ago. My son isn't getting sick off them. BPA has been around forever and I'm sorry, but if it isn't killing me or anyone else off, I'm ok. If you don't microwave the bottles, its almost impossible for BPA to leach into the liquid. I'd use them.

Just inspect the latex for cracks, tears or discoloration and they should be fine. You might want to get new nipples just in case, but the bottles themselves should be fine to use again.

If you don't care about BPA, they're fine. If you do want to limit your child's exposure to BPA, buy new ones.

The exception would be Playtex Drop-ins. The liner and nipples are now BPA-free so if you have old bottles from that system, you can reuse them with no worries.

Unless they are BPA free, they could contain particles that aren't safe for a newborn. I live by the philosophy that it's better to be safe than sorry. That being the case, i'd probably just invest in some new bottles.
