I loved my bottle warmer. It makes steam that surrounds the bottle and warms it up in a couple minutes. I'd hear the baby cry, stick a bottle in, go get the baby and come back to a warm bottle.
If you're making one bottle at a time you can just make it with warm water.

Using the microwave is the easiest way to heat a bottle. Heat it without the lid on and always make sure you give it a good shake.
Have bottles of water ready in the fridge, that way all you have to do is add the formula and heat in the microwave.
I had no clue about looking after babies before my first child was born, it doesn't take long to find out what works best for you. You will be an expert in no time.
I didn't have a microwave for my first child, so I would boil the kettle then pour the water into a container and sit the bottle into it for a few minutes. For my second child I loved having the microwave to heat the bottles in.
My children are now adults and I have two grandchildren that had microwave heated bottles as well.

When I brought my son home, I had no idea how to go about doing this so it's good that you are asking in advance. The first time I needed to warm his bottle, I literally warmed it with body heat for like an hour! LOL

With glass or plastic, you can warm on the stovetop in water. I prefer not to do this. I have a routine of changing him before feeds so right before I change him, I flick the water (in the sink in my kitchen) onto the hottest setting. I wedge the bottle on/in the drain so that the water hits the side & bottom of the bottle. By the time I'm done changing him, it's warm enough for him! I never have to test the formula this way either. I know that it won't be scorching & he likes it just fine at this temperature.

& just so you know, the glass isn't as breakable as you would think. I've dropped many bottles on our kitchen floors (they're tile ... like the hard marble type ones... not sure the exact texture) & on our hardwood floors. =]

its dangerous to heat a bottle in any way they alll have pros and cons

best tip i learnt was to boil the kettle and just put the bottle in the cold water then when it clicks off the bottle was always perfect temp

microwave i was against to start with but seriously at 2am its your best friend to get a bottle heated easily and baby back into bed and you can sleep again

since the articals were written about radiation killing of nutrients in bottles the technology of microwaves has changed

its always better to heat a bottle up pre made than to add formula to hot water

bottle warmers iv heard many say are a waste of money as take to long and never warm enough

Honestly you don't even have to worry about heating it up. Some babies will drink it cold and some, like my son drank it room temperature. You can take a bowel of hot water and set the bottle in that to warm it up. I agree it is not good to warm a bottle in the microwave because it causes the milk to be hotter in some places than others and can cause the baby to burn it's mouth. It doesn't take too long to make a bottle real quick. Once you get the hang of it. It will only take like 30 seconds.

To heat the bottle without using the microwave stand it in a bowl of hot water. Or, make the formula up with boiled water (that his cooled down a bit, not still boiling) and cool it by standing it in cold water. If your baby is really hungry and distressed you can heat it in the microwave, just make sure you mix it really really thoroughly so there are no hot spots. Always check the temperature of milk before you give to your baby - a few drops on the inside of your wrist, if you can't feel that it's hot or cold then the temperature is right.

I heard the radiation kills something in the milk, I would heat it in warm/hot water, it doesn't take very long. If your out use a microwave.
