Trying to find a good, inexpensive BPA free bottle….?
By pregnantnewsMy baby is 5 months old and so far we have been using Avent bottles. He likes drinking out of them, when he was first born we tryed Playtex vent air. He would not drink out of those ones. Plus, I didnt like hot they had so many little pieces to clean. After the scare of BPA, I want to switch. But, the Avent BPA are so expensive. Like 18.99 for two bottles! Right now he has like 8 bottles and I need to re-place them all! I worried about using cheaper bottles because of the chance of ear infection…. Any ideas on a good bottle?

the FDA has recently stated that bpa is not harmful to humans.

the born free look just like avent but i think they are reasonably priced. i wouldn’t spend 20 bucks on 2 bottles either.
As for so many of you giving me thumbs down-I think it’s funny so many of you are more willing to believe a conspiracy than the truth.

Cheaper bottles dont cause ear infections. lol A good cheap BPA free bottle to use are the Evenflo BPA free Classic bottle, $3.99 at Babies R Us. They even have glass bottles if you like.

I have the even flo, they are shaped like the playtex vent air, but they dont have as many parts, and they are 10 dollars for 3 of the. BTW i bought all BPA free bottles and my doctor told me afterwards not to worry about the BPA there isnt evenidence to prove that it is bad for you. (The even flo ones have colors and easy to hold gribs too, I found them at target)

use glass ones. they are easier to clean, and they last alot longer. the only negative is there heavy. you can get 4-6 8oz bottles for about 20 dollars.
the only thing is to make sure the nipples dont have the BPA

I’ve been using glass bottles from even-flo. No chance of BPA there! They are about $5.99 for a pack of 3, 4oz bottles. There are no bells and whistles per se, but my baby seems to like them ok. I also breastfeed exclusively so I don’t use them too often, just when I pump.

Sassy MAM bottles are really good, they have the peices like the ventaire but are MUCH easier than it because the ring that goes in the bottom (the peice that is the equilivant of the disk in ventaire) is large so it sticks as soon as you push it down. Ive never had a leak on those and my son takes to them as well as he takes from Avent bc theyre both wide mouth. Theyre about the same price, a little cheaper than the regular avent bottles. I also use the drop ins but i feel like he can never get all the formula out of it.

Try Playtex Drop Ins. They have a disposable liner so baby isn’t exposed to any harmful chemicals. They are cheap and easy to use. You can even buy store brand liners that works just as good. The liner collapses as baby drinks so no air gets in the ears or tummy.
