What kind of bottles do you recommend for newborns?

By pregnantnews

I am 21 weeks pregnant right now, and beginning the process of registering for my baby girl :) My husband & I are debating what kind of bottles to use for our newborn. I have heard that some plastic bottles are bad (because of BPA) and to go more for glass bottles. My sister in law used Born Free plastic bottles, which do not contain BPA, and highly recommends those.
Any suggestions?

We use playtex nursers with drop-ins and the drop ins are BPA free…we also use medela bottles for breastmilk storage and all of their products are BPA free.

I have always loved the drop ins by platex. They are so much more sanitary and easy to take care of

I use the playtex nurser drop ins. So much nicer then having to clean bottles. These ones you just clean the nipples. Also you dont have to worry about any recalls because of BPA.

We have the Dr. Brown’s and Playtex nursers with the drop ins and my daughter prefers the Playtex ones..I would recommend the Playtex ones for you to get.

5

Evenflow…the ones that are kinda curved….so no air bubbles get in

A lot of my friends and family use Dr Browns bottles. I plan on using them as well since they swear by them! I googled a list of BPA free bottles and they were on there!!

7

yeah, skip the bottles and give your baby its birthright, breast milk.

I use the dr. browns and I really like them. My son has never had a major problem with gas and I contribute that to the bottles. There is one down side it is really hard to keep the inside of the valves clean. There are small areas inside the valve which are alittle hard to get to.

Hello, first of all Congratulations on your baby girl, i have two little girls myself and i loved the Dr. browns bottles they are a little pricey but its worth it…well good luck..

I SWEAR BY THE DR. BROWNS!!! I tried every bottle MADE because my 3month old has reflux. He pretty COULDNT eat from any other one. I had gone out and bought alot of playtex bottles and they just had too much air, so we tried avent and so on and so on til we got to Dr. Browns. Granted it is alot of pieces to clean if done by hand, but it is SO worth it!!! Next time you go baby-shopping, check out the back of the Dr. Browns box. It shows you how it works. TIP: buy 1 or 2 of one type of bottle at a time so if they dont work for your baby you havent wasted your money!! Your baby will sort of let you know if they like the bottle or not. Sounds strange but its true!AND DR. BROWNS MAKES GLASS BOTTLES AND ALSO BPA FREE BOTTLES FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! If your baby doesent suffer from reflux, or gas doesent phase them, then it really doesent matter what bottles you use! Hope I could help!!!

Drop ins work well and are not too expensive.

playtex drop ins! – completely BPA free.

I would definitely use the Playtex Vent Aire’s. I use them for my son and love them.

i like the born free, but even their slow flow is too fast for my son, so i’m saving them till he can have them.

For now i use Playtex Ventair….just don’t put them in the washer….hand wash them….he loves them.
