Is IVF more successful when you are younger and more fertile? If its done bcoz of tied tubes for example?

By pregnantnews

My situation is that due to a uterine rupture during the 35th week of pregnancy I cannot get pregnant again without it being real high risk. I want to go for IVF and surrogacy. I got pregnant pretty fast one year ago so am hoping to be still fertile and having good quality eggs.
Please let me know my chances that IVF would be successful or not given I am 32 yrs, hubby 30 yrs.

So you’re asking if a young surrogate mother would have a better chance at conceiving than an older woman? Absolutely. That’s why women use surrogates!

There are no studies on surrogates vs other women who go the IVF route; its all lumped in together. But from personal experience, I’ve been a surrogate mother twice, and every embryo transferred has resulted in a live, full-term healthy baby. Thats 3 out of 3.

A surrogate is chosen because of her health and ability to conceive/carry. While no one on Yahoo Answers can tell you if you would be successful or not (you’ll have to speak to your RE and even he will probably not guarantee anything) you would have a better chance with a surrogate.

You will get alot of answers here, but very quick and not much thought put into what your being told. I really wish you would give Fertility Sisters a try. Its a beautiful, forum and support community for us ladies ttc, moms, ladies who struggle with infertility, some with unexplained infertility, some who have had their tubes tied and then reversed to have a child. They are very knowledgable in all of this! There are so many of them and all of them are so supportive.

The only think they ask is that you register before posting. Which only takes 2 seconds and well worth it. It not just a website, they become your family. Seriously they do. They even offer FUNDING! If your struggling financially and need a tubal reversal surgery, they help or if you need help paying for IUI, IVF and even your expensive fertility meds!!! I have been a member ever since they began and I found out about them here on YA! So I guess im trying to keep it going. Every woman ttc with or without fertility issues needs to know about Fertility Sisters.
