IVF????????…………?
ByIVF has been so glamorized lately that it got me to thinking…if a woman just wanted a chance to have multiples could she undergo IVF even though she didnt have fertility problems?is it something that someone that had the money could just play around with or what?
basically what im asking is…is it possible?can anyone get the treatments that can afford them?

I don’t believe it should be used in this instance. It should be used for the sole purpose of helping couples who CAN’T fall pregnant naturally. Just my thoughts.

Hi, I was an IVF baby, 3rd try. Thats $30,000 my parents spent tying to conceive. To “buy” multiple babies in my opinion is just wrong, people who cant have babies are so greatful to hav the option of ivf. My name is Faith, which represents the fact that my parents had faith in the ivf treatment and in the universe (they arent religious) that they would get a baby in the end. And it worked. I dont believe it should be something to be played around with or abused. leave it for the real deal is my opinion.

It could technically be used that way but this is more likely if people are seeking treatment outside the US and Canada. I am in Canada and just went through IVF this spring so I am quite aware that Canadian clinics have very strict guidelines. You must show an actual infertility problem to be able to go through IVF in any of our clinics. I don’t know if it is the same in all areas of the US because this is mostly regulated state to state. There are a handful of states that require a psychological assessment before beginning IVF so that would likely weed out those people, but there are some unscrupulous doctors out there that are only in it for a profit so it is likely that there are one or two doctors willing to allow IVF for someone who doesn’t need it. My thoughts is that it would probably be much easier to obtain IVF without an actual infertility issue in areas of Eastern Europe and India, where the clinics are open to foreign patients. That being said, any woman who would go through IVF just to have multiples is a fool. First of all multiples increase risks to the mother and the baby during pregnancy, delivery and post-partum. Second, having been through this myself, I wouldn’t want to go through the pain and discomfort I went through if I had any other choice.

There are many people who can easily pay up front the total Cash amount for the procedure. However, there are regulations that must be followed.
Most IVF facilities have serious requirements you must meet before you can qualify for their services. In most cases, their must be some infertility issues present. This is predetermined during your initial consultation (which is in person or over the phone) and later confirmed by medical exams.
The best facilities operate under these requirements and conditions. The facilities that don’t have these requirements also don’t have much protection for you in case you have complications.
As you said ” someone that had the money could just PLAY around with”. Please understand that IVF therapy should be taken seriously. If you want to have multiple babies through IVF for the fame or glamor, this is not going to happen. Parenthood is something that should be cherished and taken seriously whether you are in the media or not.
Hope this helped. Good Luck!
