IVF is it a head start for a couple, than normal conception ?
ByCan anyone answear this question, a couple who are going for IVF, how ahead are they of conception than the ordinary couple going for natural conception. I hope this question is clear for you. Thanks guys

I’m not really sure what you are asking but IVF is not something that you would want to do voluntarily. I suggest you do a lot of research as it involves the women giving herself daily (sometimes more) injections of hormones in the stomach and then having to go under general anesthetic to have an operation to collect the mature eggs and then another procedure to have the embryos inserted. I have a friend who is 7.5 months pregnant after going through it twice (first ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks) and it was her husband who had the fertility issue not her. Not only that, it is also very expensive. If you are thinking of it as an easy alternative to get pregnant fast – think again!
Not sure if this helped but I only found out how much was involved with the whole process recently and it totally shocked me to see what the women had to go throught when more often than not the issue was with the man.

IVF is for couples who cannot conceive naturally so for them it is a HUGE advantage. “normal” ppl can conceive w/o it so i guess the question didn’t make sense to me…

It is hard to understand what you are asking. It is not a head start in the sense that they will conceive quicker or have a healthier baby. IVF is very expensive and lots of self-administered injections. Then the drs have to retrieve the eggs with a needle, make embryos in the lab that may not survive, then inject into uterus where they may or may not attach. If not, then the whole process all over again.
This is not a fun process and is only reserved for those who have a medical reason why they cannot achieve pg by sex.

IVF are for those who have gone through years of infertility usually more than 1 year of trying to conceive without success. So, those who are capable of conceiving naturally would be much more ahead of those going through IVF. How can one be a head if they have to go through the hell that is involved in IVF. Some people have to do 3-7 cycles of IVF before conceiving. Each IVF cycle is about 7-8 weeks long, because you have to be put on birth control pills to regulate your periods, have to 3 to 5 injections per day prior to the actual retrieval.
