What are the Meds for IVF and How much do they cost?
ByI am thinking about starting IVF not sure yet tho. My dr. told me they meds are expensive but I wasn’t sure if the cost of the IVF included the cost of the meds or if I have to pay for them separately. But just wanted to get an Idea of how much they are going to cost. Any one can comment but more looking for someone in the michigan area. I have noticed the different states are different prices. Thank you very much!

if you are having intercourse but not getting pregnant do two things for me, first get a maybemom saliva ovulation tester, its 149.99 on the maybemom site, but only 29.99 on cvs.com, go to maybemom first and read up on the tester, it has unlimited uses and is the only saliva tester FDA approved, then go get some preseed, http://www.preseed.com read the testimonials and then go buy it at http://www.babyhopes.com. Don’t spend all the money on the IVF stuff first, try these methods.

have you tried the iui’s first? those are alot less expensive and my doctor suggested we try those first… I think including all the doctor visits and meds and all within that month that you go for an iui its anywhere between 1100-1500 tops. My husband and i did our first iui last thursday! we had been seeing the specialist since may and he put me on metfromin(1500mg a day) then clomid 50,100,150,150mg the 4 months i tried it along with trigger shots this month was the 4th month and we decided to try an iui. anyways i had 3 cousins it worked the 1st iui i had one cousin who tried iui 8 times never worked and ivf’s 3 never worked but good luck tons of baby dust to you!!

If you are paying totally out of pocket for IVF meds, it’s about $3000-$5000 total for all the medications and supplies you’ll need for an IVF cycle. You can check IVFmeds.com and Freedom Pharmacy for price lists. The medications vary depending on the protocol your Dr uses for your particular cycle as everyone is different. Just to give you an idea, my cycle was a standard protocol where I took Lupron, Menopur, Follistim, and Ovidrel.

In Guatemala these medicines have a cost of: US$1,500 plus shipping & handling (approximately US$50).
One IVF Cycle has a cost of: US$2,500 (with a gynecologist trained in Germany).
