i was dialated to 1 for about 2 mos and soft cervix i was almost 39 weeks and she induced me cause my man in military and was going on leave and dont believe baby was coming anytime soon anyway…. babies come when they want to id say cross your fingers you may get lucky within a week or so but dont hold your breath babies can be stubborn

everyone is different. some women never go in to labor even if they are dialated and they have to be induced, and some women would go into labor in a week to three weeks. this cant realy predict anything as there is so much variant from woman to woman., blessings

Dilating before labor means absolutely nothing, sorry. I was 1 cm and 80% effaced and at 0 station for 4 weeks before my daughter was born. It could be tonight, it could be another 3 weeks.

There is no way of predicting when the baby will come based on your dilation and effacement of your cervix. All that tells you is that your body is preparing for birth.
My sister just had a baby 3 weeks ago and she walked around 4 cm dilated and 100% effaced for 3 weeks!! They finally induced her on her due date because her body was ready to have that baby. She only labored for 2 hours and pushed twice! It was an easy labor because she let her body do what is natural.

no one can answer this not even your doc you could be 3 cm and soft and still not go into labor for another two weeks or you can get examined your cervix could still be completely closed and go into labor within 24 hrs its really a guessing game i know this is not what you want to hear i am currently 36 weeks with #2 and would love for someone to tell me ill have him within 2 weeks but i know nobody can tell me that best of luck and i hope its soon i feel your pain lol:)

if only babies would follow a timetable.you could be like this for weeks and unless you are experiencing other labour related symptons then you should take things easy and relax.

It could be today or it could still be a couple of weeks. I was 1-2 cm dilated, 0 station and 80% effaced my 37th week. I delivered at 39 weeks 5 days. I am sure you have heard the baby will come when the baby is ready. You can try walking each day. Do a few short walks or a longer walk, maybe in the evening. If you are up to it have sex. That was the advice I was given.
