What did my midwife mean when she said my cervix was at the front? Apparently a good sign at 38wks?

By pregnantnews

Abu Bakrs mummy- i’d be worried if there was no cervix! Apparently the cervix is closed and at the back during pregnancy and moves to the front? I just want to know if labour is imminent.

Ask her next time you see her.

My gyne said there was no cervix when I was in labor. So possibly saying there is a cervix in the front could mean it is still closed and you may not be in labor yet.
