any info on intra-uterine insemination?

anyone else experience this? would like to know what exactly to expect. i know they wash the sperm and inject it into my uterus at my tubes, but how is it all done, do you have any pain, cramping etc?

you may or may not be stimulated prior to ovulation to produce more than 1 egg. you will have a trigger shot approx 36-48 hours prior to you insemintation.

they will bring you in let you know the sperm count after wash then the will inseminate you usually without any sedation. with me i need to be put to sleep as i have a tight cervix and it is very painful to bypass it to access my uterus.

but the normal protocol is usually pain free for women and most compare it to a pap smear. after it you may have slight cramping and spotting from the procedure but it should only be minimal not unbearable.

during the 2 ww you may be administered luteal phase support if the specialist thinks you need it.
