Uterine After Birth Pain??
ByIt’s been 10 years and 2 previous pregnancies since I experienced the after birth uterine pains and WOW are they awful! I just had my baby daughter on Friday and now I’m getting the pains. I am breastfeeding so I feel the cramping during that of course, but I have felt it when I am not.
Questions are;
How long do they last? A few days? A week?
I had a LEEP Procedure a few years ago. Would this effect the intensity of the pains?
My doctor gave me a prescription for Ibuprofin 600 mg and Vicatin too so that helps.
Thanks for any answers.

I was told to expect this for about 2 weeks following the birth. They said that was how long it takes for your uterus to go back to normal size and that is what the pains come from. The uterus is contracting back down to size. However, I never had the pains for 2 weeks it always went away before then.
