(cosleeping baby) Can anyone give me tips of how to get my 1.2 year old sleeping at 8:00 again?

By pregnantnews

I have a 1 year 2 month old baby. We are co sleeping since day 1. It was really easy to get him to sleep at 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 by breast feeding. Now he drinks almost falls asleep, then pops up like I’m not tired time to play. I don’t play with him but, he’ll hop around the bed jump on me play ect. If I just lay there not interacting with him he’ll eventually go to sleep around 10:00 to 11:00 that means I’m in there with him for up to 4 hours. I can’t do the cry out method because he’ll just crawl out of bed and stand at the door bawling. What can I do. His crib is pushed up against our bed I’m tempted to put the other side on to enforce the cry out method. I don’t want to go that route. Any tips especially are welcome Especially if you are familiar with cosleeping…
I’m out with him every day he romps the whole day long outside with friends ect.
he’s just learned to walk and I think he’s really excited I just can’t get him to wind down. I play soft lullabies, rock him ect before bed…

I understand what you are saying most mothers have a method to this I just went by their schedule because as they got older they became more active and bedtime went to a decent hour. I would look for playdates if possible and try to get some outside time with him fresh air does wonders and wears them out.
