The anniversary of Jessica McClure’s rescue passed Tuesday like almost every other day in the 21-year-old’s life, with no public comment from her about the event that once captivated viewers around the world.

The young wife and mother is living quietly in this West Texas oil patch city, the same one where she fell into the backyard well.
“Jessica’s just been a wonderful, wonderful mother,” said her father, Chip McClure. “That’s always been Jessica’s dream, to be a stay-at-home mom.”
In 3½ years, however, her quiet existence might change when all the donations sent to her when she was a baby mature into a payment of million or more.
Many of the sympathetic strangers who remained glued to television coverage until Jessica was freed from 22 feet below the ground showered her family with teddy bears, homemade gifts, cards and cash. It will remain in a trust fund until she turns 25.

I’m British but i have the seen the film that they made about it. It was actually only very recently that i watched it, about 4 months ago. It is quite an emotional story. I’m glad to hear she is well and is now a mother herself.

Funny. I fell down a well back in ‘87…. never made it out though. They keep sending me flowers and cards and food. I even got this nifty computer here. So…

Thats really amazing i read about the story on the pc cuz i wasnt born yet!LOL, my dad told me the story its so amazing and i saw pix of her leavin HS, she was very pretty in pix and a saw pix of her when she had surgy and she looked so beat up. Now i dont see any scars on her but i didnt look well at all.

I was one of the millions who was praying for Baby Jessica.
I hope she uses that money to make her life style better if she wants to.I am so thankful that Jessica is physically and mentally well.
