Come over here and take my kids for a few days, you won’t be bored I promise.
Or, go back to school and take online classes if getting out of the house isn’t an option. That will occupy your time wonderfully.

See if you can find a local Mom’s group (www.momsclub.org) or a chapter of the La Leche League if you’re nursing (www.lalecheleague.org). Or start your own group with some of the moms you know! Meet once a week for coffee and a chat, while the kids play.

This time of year is so hard. It’s -5 outside, which really limits going to the park, etc., especially with very little kids. We like to go to the library (we have three in town, which is nice!), to McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A (they have playlands), to the play land at the mall, to the pet store to look at the dogs, to Walmart, things like that. I’ll bet it’s hard to get out of the house at all with two, but if you did one fun thing a day, I think you’d all be better for it.

See if your family can come visit, too. My daughter’s grandma is coming tomorrow, and we’re both excited to see her. Sometimes a new face can brighten up the day for everyone.

Hang in there, spring will be here soon!!

lol you sound like me. I am so bored at home also I have 3 children 4 years,2 years and 9 months. Like right now my 2 older children are eating oranges and my little one is sleeping and I don’t have anything to do. I opened a ebay store a few months ago and that keeps me a little busy.

Find an email buddy and exchange hot photos.

Goodness. I found I never had enough time to do all the things I wanted to do. What are your interests? Start discovering or indulging in them.

Can you plan and plant a garden? Can you write letters to the editor on matters that are important to you? Can you call people who are shut-ins and need checking or reassurance? Can you make scrapbooks of your kids? Can you meet neighbors?

Even on the computer, I never have enough time to research all the things that interest me. Helllooooooo. Where are you????

I am trying my hand at writing. I use the computer to find info about writing. I also draw and paint. I tried sewing, but that wasn’t for me. I currently have a puzzle going on my dinning room table, kinda hard with two little ones I know, but you can teach them to not touch. I like to do crossword puzzles too. Try doing a variety of things. Go to the craft store and buy things to make jewelry, purses…etc. You will eventually find a hobby that will keep you busy during the times your kids don’t need you.

Just do whatever. I read a lot, or draw or knit. I also started to learn new language on my own.

But seriously, I don’t see how you can be bored with two kids. They must be angels

Depends on what your interests are.
If you enjoy cooking ….there are a number of great recipe sites.
You could always go to a site that will help you learn a foreign language.
If you like games…there’s a lot of gaming sites. Yahoo games and Neopets, being two of them.

That’s the great thing about the Internet. It’s limitless. Just pick any word or topic you can think of, and type it in, and see what pops up.

(I can’t imagine being bored. I have something to do all the time. I often wish to have the time to be bored! Lucky you! I’m envious!)

In your situation maybe think ahead with your kids and start making your own flash cards to teach them math or colours or spelling or animals or whatever your kids need to learn.
Reading is a good past time especially if you are learning something yourself and it is a good example to set for your children so they can enjoy reading later on.
Other suggestions I have for you if you aren’t incline to leave the house so much.
Learn a new language with a CD.
Take pictures or organize your pictures in archival quality albums.
Learn to knit or sew and have fun making stuff for your kids.
Pick up some musical instrument…maybe a small keyboard and teach yourself music (this will help your kids develop better too having music around and give them a skill for later on).
Painting is wonderful (as previously suggested)…watercolour, acrylic, oils even pastels are easy to work with…make pictures to hang in your house. OR, paint your walls.
Work on a family tree.
Invent or design something… a game, a device…
Write in a journal about your life…pretend it’s for your kids so they can get to know you better or record their progress so they can learn about themselves.
If you don’t have any pets that might be something to consider and research to see what would be suitable for you and your family.
Volunteer your time in some form or another… meals on wheels or at a local mission or watch someone else’s kids for an afternoon.
Lift weights.
Plan your garden for the spring…detailed drawings of how to organize it… look on line at seed catalogues. Having a garden will teach your children about good nutrition and to be excited and proud to be involved with food production. Just try to do it organically.

There is so much out there to do.
Good luck!
Hope this helps you spawn ideas for yourself.

Have you thought about scrapbooking? You must have alot of pictures with all of the children.

For me I started a home based business, now, I teach and train people how to have a home based business. Maybe you should look for something that you could do around the schedule of your children, so that you have another area that makes you feel excited and successful in addition to being a great mom.

There are many opportunities out there to check out.

Listening to self talk cd’s were great for me too.

Take online classes- accounting, finance, art, literature, whatever you’re interested in. If you are not into academics, take a painting class or a cosmetology class- you can do it online, or, if you can find a sitter for couple hours a week, get some hands-on experience.
You can also try working out- many gyms have daycare- it’s only an hour or two, and you can check on the kids whenever you want to.
Try learning a foreign language- there’s a ton of books/CDs and DVDs that you can buy either online or in most bookstores. Knowing a foreign language is always a plus.
You can also try painting, sewing, knitting, cooking, whatever you might be interested in.
